Archive for the Paradigm Shifting Exersices
Given the success of my last blog entry: "Moneyball or the Power of Focusing on what You have Power over!" and all the feedback I have received, I thought I would write a follow-up blog entry giving you a step-by-step guide on how you can create your own "Moneyball success story".
My philosophies and teachings are pretty straight forward and easy – and because they are so simple, I keep saying "it's easy but not simple; and simple but not easy". Why am I using this mantra? Well it seems that people fall off the wagon because they simply cannot believe how simple the process is – so they try to either overcomplicate things by adding steps to or altering the process or simply not getting or believing in it. And then they wonder why it doesn't work. Those who do understand the process and have faith reap tremendous results.
Allow me to outline the process in as clear and straight forward manner as I possibly can to you:
1) Step one: Identify the precise problem – what is the actual challenge, what is the issue at hand? (Believe me, in 99% of the time money, or the lack of it, is not the issue!)
2) Step two: What would be a perfect solution for the problem? Create a solution in your mind. Visualize an ideal picture of how you would want things to be.
3) Step three: Work consistently at it. You have got take steps that take you to your ideal place. Your actions must be congruent with your vision.
4) Step four: Believe that it will happen – you must have unwavering faith that results will show up when the time is ready!
For the above steps to work, two statements have to accepted as fundamental laws of the universe:
1) Everything is energy – literally. From bricks to computers, rivers and airplanes to thoughts, emotions, speech, and planet earth. Since everything is energy then that means that everything is oscillating at at specific frequency. Thus, to change something, anything, one only has to change the frequency of bring about almost instantaneous change.
2) We are all connected. Actually, everything and everyone are connected through an invisible net of energy: from humans to nature and the animal kingdom to the universe at large. Precisely because of this connection we have an impact on everyone and everything else and thus can alter the course of our fate.
Good luck with creating the best life for yourself ever!

As already indicated in last week's blog entry, I am 110% convinced that no matter how dire or helpless the situation or seemingly grand and 'impossible' a wish, through the power of our mind and the miraculous force of creation and visualization teamed up with an unshakable belief that our vision will become reality, we are able to create the most amazing life for ourselves and others.
Just a few years ago I lost a lot – my dad, my girlfriend and financially I lost literally everything. My situation looked dire and I admittedly started to doubt in my own magical powers. But I continued to do my routine exercises and brushed off every attack of doubt that crept up in my mind and continued to focus on what it is that I truly wanted – complete financial independence so that I only had to work because I wanted to work, a flexible work schedule so that I could have a lot of quality 'me' time to do sports or yoga or travel or simply do absolutely nothing at all.
Well, within a couple of years my life has totally changed – I am now looking at an annual income that will provide me with my financial independence within the next few years – my income is growing at an exponential rate without me really feeling that I am working as what I do really gives me pleasure. I am leading an almost completely flexible life style so that I can indulge in 'me' time and do nothing at all or travel to a foreign destination just as I had envisioned it a few years back.
Having gone through a complete financial collapse has allowed me to experience first hand that really the only difference between utter success and complete failure is how I think about and perceive life – our thoughts and belief systems pre-generate our experiences. In my search on how to overcome how I felt about money, I came across the following exercise which I consciously practiced for a very long time. At that time I had to count practically every penny that I owned and so $20 or $50 were a lot of money to me. As I hated how it felt not being able to afford anything anymore I focused my energies on how to make myself feel that I indeed could afford most, if not all, things that I desired. I started to put a $20 bill in my wallet and walked through the streets with open eyes and an open mind, making sure to tell myself that whatever item that I came across that cost up to $20 I could indeed afford. So by the end of the day I had literally hundreds of things on my list that I theoretically could have bought I chosen to do so. After a while I put a $50 bill in my wallet and started to do the same exercise only increasing the price tag to fifty dollars. I was really amazed how much more I could have bought had could afford. And finally I put a $100 bill in my wallet and roamed the streets and the web in search of things that I could afford.
What a powerful exercise that was. I did this for several weeks and even though I could not see an immediate result I knew that eventually my mind would create me the reality that I wanted. Lo and behold, a year after I did the exercise I started to make good money again and now I sometimes earn several thousands of dollars per day!!! How crazy (cool!) is that?! I am not wearing a suit, I do not have to show up in an office at 7:00 in the morning and I do not hate my job – quite the contrary I love what I am doing: coaching people in lifestyle and mental attitude, guiding people through Europe, as well as help running a business, leading it to it's IPO in a few years from now. It is simply jaw dropping how things have turned out for me in such a short period of time – sometimes I cannot believe my own 'luck'. (Even though I know that I created this 'luck' myself through the power of my mind).
Today my tip to you is pretty simple: put a bill in your wallet and start focusing on what it is that you can afford as opposed to what you cannot afford and before you know it things will also start changing for you. Good 'luck' ;)

On my last trip I came across another “Kate and William” fairy tale that I simply had to share with you.
I had the honor of traveling with Bob and Marj through Switzerland. Bob is 94 years old and Marj is 82. They have been married for four years, yes, you read correctly, just for four years. Bob is from California and Marj is from New Jersey. They met on a trip through Australia and New Zealand four and a half years ago.
They clicked immediately at the beginning of the tour and spent the rest of the trip glued to one another. After the trip, Marj flew to Bob and spent a couple of weeks with him. And then Bob came to New Jersey to visit Marj. When Marj flew to the West Coast to visit Bob again, they started to talk about the constant back and forth, so Bob suggested to simply drive to Las Vegas and get married. Marj thought it was a joke but went along. Only once standing before a justice of the peace she realized that Bob really meant it and so they got married; in Las Vegas, four months after meeting for the first time on a trip through New Zealand and Australia.
If this were not remarkable enough, I want to point out that Bob was 89 and Marj was 77 when they met halfway across the globe. To travel such long distances at such an age would sound incredulous if not crazy and impossible for most people (at that age). To get married at their age and only after knowing one another for four months might also be considered a ‘little outside the box’.
And I haven’t even started to share Bob’s and Marj’s life story, which both were very open to share with me. Bob was married for sixty-two years and Marj for forty-five in their first marriage. Bob’s wife got very sick during her final years, so Bob stayed home for two years to tend to her. He barely left his house during these two years and even had their food delivered to his house. He was there for his wife until she died. He was eighty-five when his wife died and it took him a couple of years to overcome this shock, but then he started to go amongst people again and eventually started to travel as well.
Marj’s husband was taken from her in an accident; she was seventy-five when her husband died. While Bob has a very outgoing personality, Marj is a little more reserved, but not much, I should say – quiet waters run deep as they say. Bob was an engineer who ended up starting a few companies in his lifetime which made him financially independent. Marj was a teacher her entire life. She reluctantly retired at sixty-five only because she voluntarily wanted to give a younger teacher a chance to teach.
Since Bob and Marj got married they have traveled internationally at least four times per year. They have seen seventy-two countries since they got married. And my trip with them was their second this year, but also their second to last major trip. They have one more trip planned later on in the year and then they will call it quits. They say it has become too cumbersome to travel long-distance. You should have seen them on our train trip through the Swiss Alps: always on time, they partook in all excursions, even took the gondola all the way up the Matterhorn, always smiling, always holding hands – it was so delightful and heartwarming to travel with them as well as very inspiring.
To celebrate their journey together we presented them with a gift and asked them to share their story with us. Bob immediately got up and delivered an ad-hoc fifteen minute long speech about how they met and what they have done together since they got married. And at the end he said: believe in the magic of life, there is always hope, there is always an opportunity around the corner, there is always a surprise waiting for you, as long as you believe in magic, it will happen, no matter who you are, where you are and how old you are.
I am sharing this real life story with you to inspire you to believe in the magic of life and the power that your own mind has in creating a wonderful and fulfilled life for you – create it, will it, believe it, and you will experience it…

I LOVE my birthdays. I LOVE my birthday month. It gives me 31 days to focus on myself and seek out experiences I might not necessarily go after in other months. Plus I LOVE the countdown part of having 31 days to anticipate my birthday. March is the most exciting month for me. My energies are different. As soon as February 28th (29th) comes I get into birthday mode. I start visualizing what I will be doing on a daily basis for the next 31 days and how I will treat myself on the 31st. I give myself more “me time” by meditating more, working out more, going for walks by myself, writing in my journal…I am doing all these activities consciously and really staying in the moment appreciating every minute of everything that I am doing…it really gives me a kick to do something and be conscious of it at the same time, it feels like having a twin observing me and by doing so doubling my fun. My birthday is MY day. I am important. I am the main act. It is all about me and I do not have to feel guilty liking it. In my birthday month I have more confidence, I feel zestier, cooler and more daring because I am more in tune with the universe. My frequencies are perfect sinusoids and in perfect harmony with universal frequencies. By me being more in tune with the world, more good things happen to me – I meet interesting people, have wonderful encounters with strangers, I get more clients who want to work with me, I have more insights and epiphanies, and I simply have more fun and enjoy life more than usual and do not worry about things such as: what people might think about me, how something is being perceived by others, whether I will get enough sleep if I continued to stay out, and so forth.
Consciously creating an event that you can look forward to and can count down toward and anticipate has a thrilling effect on you and people around you. I encourage you to do the same – especially those lame farts among you who do not celebrate birthdays – embrace it, no matter how many candles will be put on your cake. Create excitement around it and you will be exciting other people and this excitement will flow into all aspects of your life: better/naughtier sex, more laughter in your day, and more heartwarming encounters. Go on, give it a try, you will be surprised about the outcome!

1. You Are a Physical Extension of That Which is Non-physical.
All-That-Is, or that which you call God, is not finished and waiting for you to catch up. You are the leading edge of thought, here seeking more: more of all that feels good to you, more of that which is fresh and gloriously uplifting. (You are, in essence, bringing heaven to earth.)
2. You Are Here in This Body Because You Chose to Be Here.
You chose the opportunity to experience this delicious contrast in time and space, and with great anticipation you came to co-create with other joy-seeking Beings, to fine-tune the process of deliberate thought. (What, where, when and with whom you create are your choices, too.)
3. The Basis of Your Life is Freedom; the Purpose of Your Life is Joy.
You are free to choose to discover new avenues for your joy. In your joy you will grow; and in your growth you add to the expansion of All-That-Is. (However, you are also free to choose bondage or pain…but everything anyone chooses is only because they believe it will help them feel better.)
4. You Are a Creator; You Create With Your Every Thought.
By the Universal Law of Attraction, you are attracting the essence of whatever you are choosing to give your attention to — whether wanted or unwanted. And so, you often create by default. But you can know by how your emotion feels if what you are attracting (creating) is what you are wanting or if it is not what you are wanting. (Where is your attention focused?)
5. Anything That You Can Imagine is Yours to Be or Do or Have.
As you ask yourself why you want it, the essence of your desire is activated, and the Universe begins to bring it to you. The more intense your positive feelings, the faster it is coming to you. (It is as easy to create a castle as a button.)
6. As You Are Choosing Your Thoughts, Your Emotions Are Guiding You.
Your loving Inner Being offers guidance in the form of emotion. Entertain a wanted or unwanted thought, and you feel a wanted or unwanted emotion. Choose to change the thought and you have changed the emotion — and you have changed the creation. (Make more choices in every day.)
7. The Universe Adores You for it Knows Your Broadest Intentions.
You have chosen to come to earth with great intentions, and the Universe constantly guides you on your chosen path. When you are feeling good, you are, in that moment, allowing more of that which you have intended from your broader perspective. (You are Spirit Incarnate.)
8. Relax into Your Natural Well-Being. All is Well. (Really It Is!)
The essence of all that you appreciate is constantly flowing into your reality. As you find more things to appreciate, your state of appreciation opens more avenues to more for which to feel appreciation. (As you think, you vibrate. As you vibrate, you attract.)
9. You Are a Creator of Thoughtways on Your Unique Path of Joy.
No one can limit where you can direct your thought. There are no limits to your joyous journeys to experience. On the path to your happiness you will discover all that you want to be or do, or have. (Allowing others their experiences allows you yours.)
10. Actions to Be Taken and Possessions to Be Exchanged Are
By-products of Your Focus on Joy. On your deliberately joyous journey your actions will be inspired, your resources will be abundant, and you will know by the way you feel that you are fulfilling your reason for life. (Most have this one backwards, therefore most feel little joy in their actions or their possessions.)
11. You May Appropriately Depart Your Body Without Illness or Pain.
You need not attract illness or pain as an excuse to leave your body. Your natural state — coming, remaining or leaving — is that of health and Well-Being. (You are free to choose otherwise.)
12. You Can Not Die; You Are Everlasting Life.
In grace, you may choose to relax and allow your gentle transition back into your Non-physical state of pure, positive Energy. Your natural state is that of Foreverness. (Have fun with all of this! You can’t get it wrong, and you’ll never get it done.)
P.S. It is not necessary for even one other person to understand the Laws of the Universe or the processes that we are offering here in order for you to have a wonderful, happy, productive Life Experience — for you are the attractor of your experience. Just you!

There are no “good” or “bad” energies. Energies are energies, period; we are the ones who categorize them into “positive” and “negative”. In the energetic realm there is only an “is” or an “is not” without any distinctions whatsoever when it comes to race, gender, education or wealth. By simply existing, everyone is given an equal access to them. They not only come for free and in unlimited supply, they also work for everyone in the same way, with only one caveat to this: you have to trust and believe, as without faith nothing can be achieved.
On one hand it felt liberating and joyful and invigorating to discover this fundamental law as it meant that we could create and achieve almost anything we wanted; and since we are all equal we all have equal chances to utilize them. On the other hand though it also felt scary and intimidating when I realized that we could just as much abuse this law and cause harm and destruction instead of creating the loving, joyful, and happy life we seek.
Let me explain: some of us, too few until now, have realized the co-existence of the physical and the energetic worlds. Those few though have been able to move mountains and change the world within their lifetime. Whether they had an experience similar to mine or not makes no difference, somehow they must have felt the interconnectedness of our universe and utilized its unlimited potential and power. Here are some examples: Mohandas Gandhi, who created the modern State of India and liberated it from British rule through passive and peaceful resistance; Nelson Mandela led South Africa out of its apartheid constitution and became the first black president of his country; the Buddha dedicated his entire life to healing people once he realized that everything is evanescent; and the Dalai Lama has been traveling the world as an ambassador for pacifism working on peaceful means to liberate Nepal from its Chinese rule.
Most regrettably though, as already indicated before, one must not necessarily have the best of intentions to learn how to tap into this realm and utilize it for their benefit. Aiming to utilize the energies so that they benefit mankind is a conscious and noble choice that each one of us must make in order to be able to step into the footsteps of the aforementioned highly admirable humans. There are ample examples in our history though where the cosmic energies were abused by individuals, groups, and systems, from Adolf Hitler to Josef Stalin, to devastate, abuse, and extort.
Since my life is about love, healing, and taking charge of our life, showing us that we are not a Bouncy Ball but indeed can learn how to Ride Our Horse, I do not want to focus any more on these negative examples; although I felt obliged to give a full and complete picture of the energetic universe to do justice to its neutral nature and to show that it is up to us, and no one else, to cause good in this world.

Napoleon Hill was born into poverty in 1883 in a one-room cabin on the Pound River in Wise County, Virginia. At the age of 10 his mother died, and two years later his father remarried. He became a very rebellious boy but grew up to be an incredible man. He began his writing career at age 13 as a “mountain reporter” for small town newspapers and went on to become America’s most beloved motivational author. He dedicated more than 25 years of his life to define the reasons by which so many people fail to achieve true financial success and happiness in their life.
During this time he achieved great successes as an attorney and journalist. His early career as a reporter helped finance his way through law school. He was given an assignment to write a series of success stories on famous men, and his big break came when he was asked to interview steel-magnate Andrew Carnegie. Mr. Carnegie commissioned Hill to interview over 500 millionaires to find a success formula that could be used by the average person. These included Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford, Elmer Gates, Charles M. Schwab, Theodore Roosevelt, William Wrigley Jr, John Wanamaker, William Jennings Bryan, George Eastman, Woodrow Wilson, William H. Taft, John D. Rockefeller, F. W. Woolworth, and Jennings Randolph, among others.
He became an adviser to Andrew Carnegie and with Carnegie’s help he formulated a philosophy of success, drawing on the thoughts and experiences of a multitude of rags-to-riches tycoons. It took Hill over 20 years to produce his book, a classic in the personal development field called Think and Grow Rich. This book has sold over 7 million copies and has helped thousands of people to achieve success. It has also been considered to be the most influential book in the lives of W. Clement Stone and Og Mandino.
The secret to success is very simple but you’ll have to read the book to find out what it is!
Napoleon Hill passed away in November 1970 after a long and successful career writing, teaching, and lecturing about the principles of success. His work stands as a monument to individual achievement and is the cornerstone of modern motivation. His book, Think and Grow Rich, is the all time best-seller in the field.
In recent years The Napoleon Hill Foundation has published his bestselling writings worldwide, giving him immense influence around the globe.

On my constant quest to learn more about myself and my healing powers, and to find answers to why the heck we are here and have a conscious mind, life, death, and everything in between, I have traveled thousands upon thousands of miles – more figuratively than literally, but still ;)
One of the vehicles for trying and hoping to understand our universe better is undergoing regressions. What an incredible journey that is! I have done a few and boy o boy were they emotional ones. Every time I came back out of my trance crying and sobbing. During each regression I experienced some 3 to 5 lives and deaths.
The farthest back in time I have traveled thus far was to 5,032 BC where I relived my final minutes on earth. I was a very old man for that time, 42. I remember wearing very basic clothing, basically fur wrapped around my torso and my feet but my legs and arms felt bare. I was walking through snow and I was freezing and shivering. Even in my trance like state I could feel the dampness creeping into my body. I remember stumbling and falling onto the ground due to exhaustion. I was simply too weak to get up anymore. Eventually my body and my soul gave in and I died – I had frozen to death.
It was such a powerful experience. Even right now while writing about it, I can feel all the emotions I felt during my regression: fear, giving in, letting go, the equilibrium I felt inside even though my outside was gradually freezing to death. It still send shivers through my spine.
A book that I read many years ago: “Many Lives, Many Masters” by Brian Weiss, MD, got me into trying regressions myself. I did them – and continue to do them – with the help of a psychotherapist who is trained to guide people into a light hypnosis. In his book Dr. Weiss tells a story of one of his patients who he was able to tremendously help by doing regressions with her. All in all she experienced well over 100 past lives during her therapy with him. Originally she was considered a “lost cause” and “incurable” of her psychological problems. Over time she not only got cured but actually turned into a gifted healer herself who now leads a fulfilled life helping other people overcome their problems.

I have mentioned on many occasions that the key to tapping into the world of cosmic energies is through our breath. The constant and perpetual flow of air in and out of our body has something very mystical to it. It is also life giving. Every second of every minute of our existence. We take our breath as a routine act, something that works, similar to our heartbeat, without us having to do anything at all; we do not even have to think the process. The system functions perfectly whether we are awake or asleep, run a marathon or relax while reading a book by the fire.
My life consists of shifting the paradigms we are in. By doing so we can burst through barriers we previously thought impossible to overcome.
By changing how we perceive our breath, from an automatic routine function to a conscious and deliberate act, we can turn our world upside down. We can become the master of our own universe. Many times I have been encouraging you to consciously breathe. Deliberately letting in the life giving oxygen. Slowly guiding it through our trachea into our lungs and then onward into our belly to then accompanying the now transformed life force out of our system again. The deliberate and conscious repetition of this act over a long period of time, minutes, hours, and even days and weeks, will catapult you into a dimension of awareness and oneness you never knew existed.
I admit that such a practice is very hard to establish on your own while you are trapped in your daily routine. It is much easier, nonetheless a major challenge, if you had some guidance. For those of you who are ready to make the jump and experience something profound I can recommend taking a residential Vipassana Meditation course.
There you will learn during their introductory 12-day silent meditation course Buddha’s original meditation technique. Your entire time will be dedicated to yourself and your experience. 12 days of silence, cut off from your regular duties and daily distractions you will have an opportunity to dive deep into your own soul and through that connect with the universe. Goenka, the spiritual master who introduced the technique to the West will share his knowledge and wisdom with you during his entertaining video lectures in the evening. The course is free. Every single person working there is a volunteer. And all of them have done the course a couple of times before donating their time and labor so that you can have this wonderful experience of solitude and interconnection.
I did my first Vipassana Meditation retreat in December of 2008. It changed my life. A profound experience. I had no idea what I was capable of. Now I know that one can indeed “survive” 12 hours of daily meditation, sitting on your butt, getting up at 4:00 a.m. to only fall asleep by midnight. Incredible.
I am already looking forward to my next retreat. My aim is to qualify for their 30-day long silent retreat. It will take me a couple of years before I will qualify, but I am already looking forward to it.
Are you ready for this? Are you ready for this life altering experience? If so, then simply sign up online – you will not regret this experience!
To close with Goenka’s words: “Be happy!”
